Belle’s Good Ole Basic Meatloaf Recipe–Winter Comfort Food

Meatloaf for FBBLuscious and Easy Recipe for Belle’s Stuffed Bell Peppers

Take out 2 lbs of ground beef/venison-set aside. Cut off tops off Bell peppers, take out seeds, rinse and Dry. Set aside.

Chop (medium chop) 1 C of both Onion and celery. Add 1 grated carrot to vegetable mix. Do not pre-cook as want the slightly crunchy texture.

Add vegetable to ground beef, add 2 eggs, 2 pieces of dried crumbled bread

Add 2 tsp dried Italian seasoning, Add 2 tsp steak/garlic seasoning and 1 tsp dried granulated garlic.

Mix all Ingredients together thoroughly. Once mixed, add another tsp of steak/garlic seasoning and mix again. Put bell peppers in bowl (or whatever container fits No. of peppers you’re stuffing). I like to stack them touching so that they have support and wont’ fall over while baking. If any meatloaf mix left over, I take a second container and make a slightly domed meatloaf. Mix 3/4 C of ketchup and 1/8 C of brown sugar with cracked pepper, then pour over bell peppers as well as meatloaf in other dish. Bake at 350 degrees for approx 1 hr. (depends on your oven so check in 45 to 50 mins and if no pink in middle of peppers or loaf, then done.

Serve with a baked potato and small side salad. Delicious comfort food for a cold winter evening! Is even better next day in a grilled/toasted sandwich. Enjoy 🙂
