Happy St Paddy’s Day to All you Irish out there

happy st patrick's dayGod Bless the Irish, but wait, aren’t we all just a “wee” bit Irish? With all the rainbows and pots of gold to be discovered around the world, leprechauns will be traveling at the speed of light; “beam me up Scotty” to any place on the World Map. It twill be a Grande Lucky day across the globe!!

What a better way to start the day than to learn about the history and folklore surrounding Ireland. LINK to Irish History and Folklore. Ireland may be a wee sized country but  has a humongous heart that has experienced many lifetimes of  trials/tribulations and milestones: 10000 BC, the first settlers arrived in Ireland (Mid stone age period) to 550AD when Irish monks re-christianized Europe up to the 1998 milestone of the Initial peace plan between parties in Ireland and Britain.

The world has been entertained by Irish performers for decades, including wonderful Irish melodies and dance from the likes of the Irish Rovers, Patsy Whelan, Celtic Thunder and River Dance, to name a few. It is hard to not get up and join in a little Irish jig when the music and Irish brews start to flow. Last but not least, we can’t forget the delectable and traditional Irish meal of Corn beef and Cabbage, as well as roasted vegetables and soda bread.

On this special day of the year, don’t be surprised to see people out chasing rainbows. You will never know if your lucky stars will bring you upon a leprechaun and his ever evasive pot of gold. The Luck of the Irish to ya’ll!
