Make your own Beautiful Fruit Tray by controlling quality and creativity!

food FFB 6 Wella!!!! Much nicer than a store-bought fruit tray and done with minimal effort! We can all do this quality of presentation. It’s not hard and the best way to start is to JUST TRY. Like with anything, the more you do it, the easier and better it gets. In addition to controlling the fruit quality that you buy, you can unleash your creative spirit. There is also the benefit of being able to sample; just to make sure the quality is what you want others to experience! 🙂  This was put together for a funeral luncheon and the individual involved, was someone I really love and respect, therefore, I wanted to present something of this person’s caliber in return for the kindness/friendship shared with me over time. What a small price to pay!

I purchased the fruit the night before as well as washed and prepared the fruit. I did add minimal sugar to the strawberries as they’re not quite at their delicious peak yet. If you use a fresh pineapple, be sure and save the top for a decorative piece, if ya’ll so choose. Lastly, put the prepared fruits in their own Tupperware containers (with paper towel lying on top of fruit within the closed container, to absorb any extra moisture that might otherwise cause the fruits to deteriorate faster). Kept containers in refrigerator overnight and merely arranged on platter prior to event. Well worth the effort, especially after hearing several women say “isn’t that beautiful” when delivering the finished product.
