collegeI had committed to all of you, that a continuing search for sources of college monies will be ongoing.  For those with the desire to further your education and improve yourself, I will not give up. I ask that each of you continue to reach to the stars and carry out your dreams. The opportunities are there, you just have to apply yourself by putting out effort. I do not accept whining and/or the statements, “I can’t find anything or it’s too hard,” as that only shows me that you’re not working hard enough. Go at it as if there is no tomorrow. collegeAnother option for monies to assist you while in college. “The Federal Work Study Program provides funds for part-time employment to help needy students to finance the costs of postsecondary education.” It takes a little effort on one’s part to work as well as go to school, but is doable and has been done by many over decades. I personally had two sisters who worked for their colleges in various capacities while enrolled in college; helped them make ends meet as well as received some additional benefits as employees. collegeRan upon an article in Money magazine (alias cnnmoney.com) by Kim Clark, which provided a layout/publication touching upon the topic of “Massive Open Online Courses, known as a MOOC in education jargon.” Based on the underlying premise that the current method or mode of delivery of college education is broken. Ms Clark cited reasons such as “rising tuition (traditional college costs have risen faster than inflation for many years), high student debt and stingier funding for public colleges are making it more difficult for families to keep up.” [Read more…]
